Arpax v/s RōninChusaki: Round 1: Completed

Here Arpax and RōninChusaki will begin their round one battle in the bijuu contest for the Shukaku no Ichibi. Each contestant gets 10 posts to show their stuff, so come out strong and mae it count.

Note: Undisclosed, at this time, judges will determine who the winner is. This will be based upon more than who can thump on who. In 10 round the battle will not be at a defeat state anyway...well most will not. Good luck!

Whoever makes the first post goes first and game play will commence from there. Digressing into OCC bickering will be highly frowned upon and count against you as this is not the image Suna wishes to put forth. Discuss things in pms someplace or ask for a ruling here by requesting a stop of the match to resolve an issue.

Arpax walks out from his house in the Sand Village towards the battle Area, with a Sword on his back and a Scroll on his side.He has on his regular set of training Clothes given to him By Kayenta when he first arrived to the sands.After many hours of grueling training, he finally feels confident  fighting against any Wind Affinity people. He has made a tragic disadvantage in Suiton/Doton ninjutsu an advantage against any Suna ninjustu users. But as he continues to walk, now very close to the site of battle, he can only think about his opponent- What mastery will he hold? Such things cannot be seen... The only think that is known, is that he will work extra hard in this battle, bringing about the fulfillment of his own destinies..

Arriving at the battlefield, Arpax does not see his Opponent but knows that as soon as he shows up. He will spare no time in battle.He has prepared for anything, and there is no holding back now.

[Chusaki]

Chusaki would shortly arrive on the field of sand before his opponent. The man wore at first desert robes but he quickly shed them. Now only in his black shorts, the only other things visible were his pockets for storing various tools and his blade at his hip. His left eye was covered by a patch and his right shoulder and palm riddled with scars. A few tattoos indicated his current or former ANBU rank and some affliation to Kiri and swords. the last marking was on his chest, a star and circle in a chain pattern. He spoke nothing, just bowing before Arpax. Then with a quick motion of the wrist he unsheathed his standard length katana and muttered, just barely audible. "Katana Fuuin Ni: Heiton" A seal on the blade began to glow and energy, almost like Rai chakra, flowed through his blade, taking the appearance of black electricity. He then charged at his opponent and took a diagonal swing, if blocked then the black chakra would flow into his opponents blade then into him and start damaging him like the similar results of electricity going through the body.

Arpax, for a 10th of a second, Considers how his opponent is now close enough to strike:  When at the beginning of the battle they were separated by a sizeable distance. But nonetheless, he acts quickly, first stiffening his right arm, uttering “Kaze no Yaiba”- Which uses his arm as a catalyst for a razor sharp blade (extending to the ground), that he will swipe in an upward direction to block his opponents weapon. Arpax instinctually took into consideration the fact that he had never heard of his opponents “ Black Raiton justu", but he knew that by default fuuton techniques were Raiton’s weakness. Also since the tip of arpax’s blade extends fairly far out, arpax’s arm would be a good distance away from any damage the battle would ensue. Finally taking into thought that electricity cannot form on air, he figured that those facts themselves would most-likely render his opponents weapon useless. Although just to be safe, as he was twisting his right arm up to clash with the opposing sword, he took in a large breath. As soon as their weapons hit, he would blow it out with a mix of chakra to perform a very strong “Fuuton - Renkuudan ”: which would release from this distance an undeniably accurate razor sharp blast, that would in the least, leave his opponent with a good amount of cuts… Especially given the clothes that he has chosen to wear.

[Chusaki]

Growled a bit as the drilling projectile of air pushed him back a fair distance and made a few good cuts on his shoulder. He reverted the seal on his blade and gripped the shoulder, only smirking. He thought to himself quickly of how to proceed. He made handseals then exhaled a large cloud of ash as he called out. "Katon - Haisekishou!" He then clicked his teeth, the ash cloud exploding. The blast radius would be large and highly damaging.

Being surrounded by the Smoke gives Arpax some degree of hint that his opponent is trying to hide himself and seek out for a close range attack. He performs hands seals to combat that theory when the smoke he is surrounded by starts to ignite- starting directly in front of him-. Having no time to dig under ground or run away. The only option that is left is to smother it in his area some way. Getting burned was unavoidable he knew, but he would not be beaten by such an attack. With that he stomped his foot sending a hard wall of dirt and sand up from the ground directly in front of him, while Simultaneously pivoting his body to face away from it. Then jamming his back onto the wall, waved his hands forward to push away the unfired smoke nearest to him, and then put chakra into his arms, moving the air around him quickly in a circular motion. This all together seemed to form a sort of vortex around him and the sides of the rock wall, which was blocking the main of his body from getting burned. The vortex or half vortex in this case would immediately smother the fire directly closest to him, but would not prevent the initial burns to his legs, elbows and hair. This was all insignificant to the fact that he just survived a very dangerous attack. One that he has only heard of used by one other person… Either way, as the fire starts to thin around him, he quickly slams his hands on the ground sending three more pillars up from the ground inch’s away from him. Snagging a drop of blood from his right shoulder, arpax would clap his hands together, and hit the ground. Making a seal appear in preparation for a latter attack. But before that, he started making hand signs for his next stronger attack. All the while blowing upwards, keeping the reminisce of smoke from getting anywhere close to him.He wouldn't let that attack repeat itself, but he would use the residue of the smoke as a temporary cloak.

[Chusaki]

Chu mentally praised his opponent, the only thing he did though was smirk. He starts his own set of handseals, the first being for Doton - Uitenpen. The sand around him was pushed aside by earth, now giving him a better medium for Doton techniques. He then used a second chain of handseals. Doton - Ganchuusou! He hand was reached out toward Arpax as from beneath him emerged spikes of stone, seeking to impale him.

The Spikes appeared from the ground, directly under Arpax who was in between his Hardened ground planks of protection. Being done with his preparing, Arpax immediately jumps up and back. Doing an acute backflip out of what was once a protective barrier (now a danger pit) onto the hard ground a couple of meters back. Arpax wonders in his mind, how Chusaki could have sent spikes to this exact location, having there been a bunch of smoke surrounding them.. Now being more conscious of his opponent’s abilities, Arpax claps his hands together sending the 4 protective planks, and deadly spikes from below into one square piece of rock. Seeing that his opponent is now surrounded by rock protection, as Arpax himself had once been, Arpax knows now that there is only one direction for attack – up. So he quickly starts moving his hands, first taking in air and shooting out of his mouth a gust of dust-Fuuton: Fuusajin. Very similar to the smoke that chusaki had used on him before but covering a much larger distance. With that, arpax would seemingly be able to move around freely without being detected by sight. Running forward into the now large dust cloud, Arpax would clap his hands together, making the rocks that were surrounding his opponent, come in towards each other. Hopefully this will tighten his opponent into place, constricting his movement abilities. With that, coming to a complete stop near the square of rock that he had made from before, Arpax quickly slapped his hands to the floor for a final time, making a much bigger event happen. Soon 100’s of slugs would appear slowly from the ground -under cover of smoke. All directed towards the area where chusaki hopefully would be stuck. - all armed with the power to take away chakra, and transfer it to arpax. Luckily for Arpax, slugs were generally quiet and did not contain detectable chakra. Having summoned them before in all the commotion of the fire made him able to generate a very great amount of them. If chusaki were to defend himself against Arpax’s rock imprisonment, he would generally not be able to move around the battlefield freely with the threat of either stepping on a slug, becoming stuck, or losing chakra because of their abilities. But just in case, arpax would cut the piece of rock that he is now standing next to in pieces with his arm, throwing the large chunks towards chusaki’s area in different directions- He is seemingly setting up for something.

While waiting for the smoke to clear Chu would notice the new constriction on the ground around him. Telling now his opponent was Doton user Chu would have to figure a new plan. With a simple handsign chain and still with the smoke cover Chu takes in a deep breath utilizes Mogurgakure no Jutsu to tunnel down. he then would cover his hole, in case he or something else tries to get in. While under the ground he would take off his eyepatch. With the Ox seal he activated his implanted byakugan, now seeing the army of slugs above. he burowed until he found where his opponent was and attempts to reach from under him with Shinjuu Zashu no Jutsu. If it worked Arpax would be neck deep in sand. Either way needing air and not having the abilities to produce additional Chu would burrow out from behind where Arpax was before he tried grabbing him.

Arpax starts to get very happy with himself, not seeing Chusaki rise up from his previous attack. But suddenly, the slugs that Arpax has sent upon the battleground seem to scatter about- changing direction, now heading in an opposite direction towards Arpax’s position. This immediately gives Arpax indication that Chusaki is traveling underground.Seeing the slugs move more rapidly in his directing, gives him a sort of indication of when his opponent would get to him, this all gave him the right amount of time for preparation. Arpax giving a calm and collected smirk whispers:" I guess it's time for action."… With this Arpax would conjure hand seals, in preparation for a later attack. But secondly, Arpax would add chakra to his hands in which he would use to grab Chusaki once he was positioned directly under his person. He would use the chakra in clasping on to the first part of body that arrives up, and then pull the full figure out of the ground, tossing him back  towards where the pieces of rock from before were now scattered.He would throw chusaki low- close to the ground- so his slugs would be able to attach themselves, and complete arpax's initial plan for chakra reduction.  If this didn't work, he would settle with just implanting a chakra scalpel into any part of Chusaki's body (as it came up from the ground), hopefully cutting off chakra flow to his hands, disabling him from making hand seals. Arpax knows that even if he got one of Chusaki's hands, there still would be a possibility of him doing ninjutsu- But even Arpax himself had not mastered one handed ninjutsu seals, and therefor could only do it on simple things such as barriers and Fuuton blowing attacks. Hopefully one of the traps that Arpax has set for Chusaki would work.

[Chusaki]

Chu was surprised to see a hand meeting his and was picked up and thrown into the rocks, seeing he had no time to react. Getting up and being dazed he looked upon the swarm reaching him. "Slugs, of all things..."As he muttered this to himself he quickly put himself into a postion similar to that of a Hyuuga's (his Byakugan still active) then as each one came he repelled them back with quick strikes. "Hakke Hyakunijuuhachishou!"As each one came, he simply stroke it away in rapid movements until coming upon their master, thrusting his palm at him."Hakke Kuushou!" Chu would use the Air Palm technique to try and blow back Arpax and his remaining slugs.

Arpax wondered how it was possible for chusaki to have hit solid rocks with his bare skin exposed, and come to without even a mere scratch. He then  thought it amazing that none of the slugs laid out over the battle ground were able to attach themselves to chusaki’s body in flight. Arpax had thrown chusaki close to the ground so that some of his slugs would undeniably be able to attach themselves and aid in his later plans. But since none attached, and chusaki somehow ended up far enough away from a field of slugs to move freely, arpax knew he would have to find a way to counter. Seeing hundreds of slugs rise up in front of him, as if they were a wave in the ocean, gave arpax an indication about a probable fuuton attack. With that he immediately hopped straight up and down into the ground "Dochuu Senkou", narrowly missing the onslaught of slug and attack. As soon as he knew it had passed, he popped back up –Speaking clearly to chusaki for the first time: “ Wow, your skin is really strong.. It really does surprise me but I wouldn’t use those Hyuuga techniques anymore. It’s kind of offensive to me, a descendant of the Hyuuga clan myself. For Instance..” With that he held his right hand up, forming a seal and saying “ Byakugan”- He then  shot his left hand forward, sending a “Hakke Kuushou” towards Chusaki’s area. The Chakra filled air, raged over the battlefield, taking up some ground as it went. Directly after, the shot was sent off, arpax would clasp his hands together making the ground surrounding Chusaki turn into mud (this would hopefully start to drag chusaki down in a sort of quick sand affect) . He then would, form the needed handseals to turn the rocks behind chusaki’s person into a mudslide towards his person “Doryuu Taiga “. He would then run forward as he starts to make even more handseals. -All the while watching chusaki’s chakra flow with his now activated Hyuuga blood limit eyes -

Well...Chusaki is withdrawing from the contest. With school starting up soon he figures not to have the time.
